Dr. Asia Rubin - Veterinarian

Asia Rubin

Dr. Asia Rubin is a passionate and dedicated veterinarian whose lifelong dream has always been to care for animals.

A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, she grew up surrounded by pets and eagerly sought opportunities to spend time with animals, volunteering at a local veterinary clinic throughout middle and high school. These early experiences sparked a deep love for veterinary medicine that would shape her future.

Dr. Rubin earned her undergraduate degree in Agricultural and Animal Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. As a recipient of the prestigious USDA 1890 Scholarship, she received a full academic scholarship and gained invaluable hands-on experience working with the USDA-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service during her summers. This exposure opened her eyes to the broad range of career paths within veterinary medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Rubin spent two years working as a research technician with nonhuman primates before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, she developed special interests in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and community practice. She remained actively involved with Christian Veterinary Missions, combining her medical expertise with her faith to support underserved communities—a commitment she plans to continue throughout her career.

Now practicing at Farrell Animal Hospital, Dr. Rubin is excited to begin her professional journey. She takes pride in educating pet owners and partnering with them to ensure the health and well-being of their furry family members. Her warm, collaborative approach and dedication to quality care make her a valued addition to the veterinary team.
